Large Manufacturing company is seeking a Melt Shop Supervisor on 3rd Shift for their facility in Chicago IL. The supervisor will ensure safe and efficient production, managing a skilled workforce, and maintaining a high level of operational discipline. The ideal candidate has a background in heavy manufacturing, proven leadership abilities, and a relentless focus on safety and productivity.
Must be willing to work the 3rd shift (overnight) schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.

responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of all melt shop personnel during the 3rd shift.
- Monitor production processes to ensure all quality and production targets are met.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and equipment malfunctions, coordinating with the maintenance team to minimize downtime.
- Ensure strict compliance with all company safety protocols, policies, and regulatory requirements, including Lockout/Tagout, confined space entry, and proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Conduct daily safety meetings, enforce safety rules, and address any unsafe conditions or behaviors immediately.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to promote teamwork and morale.
