An industrial manufacturer is looking for a QA/QC Engineer in the Philadelphia area. Candidates need to have at least five years of industrial construction quality experience. Must have knowledge of quality control standards, methodologies, and best practices. Being a CWI is a plus. Must have rotating equipment knowledge.
This is an office based position with 25% travel.

responsibilities:
Review and verify quality, compliance of vendor's quality documentation and work to be complying within project technical specifications and codes of construction such as AWS D1.1, B31.1 and B31.3, NACE, ASME II, V, VIII, IX, AISC, ASNT, API etc.
Developing, designing and implementing inspection and testing procedures.
Creating and executing quality control plans.
Collaborating with suppliers and customers to ensure all relevant quality standards are met.
Documenting results of inspections, implementing corrective actions to address any quality issues.
Leading root cause analysis investigations and implementing effective corrective actions.
Analyzing quality control data and reporting on quality issues to the management.
Review codes and project specifications.
Participating in the design and development process to ensure quality considerations are incorporated into product designs.
Conduct audits at vendors, to ensure product compliance with project standards.
Communicate quality control information to all relevant internal departments, vendors, clients.
Perform quality inspections/surveillance (e.g., welding, bolting, dimensional, equipment installation and alignment, preservation, storage, structural steel erection, painting Inspections, completion of scope, etc.) at vendors and project sites for structural steel, pressure vessels, skids and other commodities.
Prepare QA/QC reports for various inspections such as welding, bolting, mechanical equipment installation, trial assembly for various commodities.
Organize meetings with team members, vendors, clients on various related topics and create and distribute minutes of meetings (MOM) to all participants.
Manage, coordinate and verify implementation of various quality control programs.
Maintain, update commissioning, preservation documentation.
Maintain, update office quality documentation, quality databases, Logs, NCR, OS&D and others.
Verify, maintain calibration logs, inspection schedules and other quality related databases.
Review or compile, if required, final MDR books for various projects.
Become proficient in quality assurance procedures and responsibilities
Manage internal Vendor Inspection schedule.
Supervise, manage inspection activities and coordinate with the client, as well as the purchasing, expediting and logistic department.
