An Engineering Team Leader is needed for a manufacturing company considered one of the world's leading innovators in materials science in the Tolleson, AZ area. This position is for a production supervisor who is responsible for directing second-shift production activities, leading a team to meet quality and cost objectives, and driving continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.

responsibilities:
- Directing and inspecting the work of a team of employees, with a focus on a second-shift schedule.
- Driving department strategies and providing guidance to achieve plant objectives.
- Monitoring and improving performance metrics for multiple production departments.
- Prioritizing production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and material supply.
- Leading daily department meetings with cross-functional teams.
- Resolving quality, performance, and downtime issues in a timely manner.
- Leading or participating in cost-reduction projects.
- Ensuring changes meet product quality, cost, and productivity targets.
- Providing employee training on new processes, procedures, or equipment.
- Maintaining a positive and motivating work environment, ensuring open communication and adherence to safety regulations.
- Investigating and resolving manufacturing issues.
- Supporting ISO 9000 and AS9100 standards.
- Data analysis skills to interpret data and make decisions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with a diverse group of employees and management.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, electronic document management, and ERP systems (SAP knowledge is a plus).

- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Supply Chain Management is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of quality, engineering, or operations experience in a manufacturing environment.
