An Inventory Specialist is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Brownsville, TX area. This role is for an inventory and warehouse professional with experience in construction material management, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all project materials, from receiving and storage to shipping and disposal.

responsibilities:
- Direct the physical count and inspection of incoming materials.
- Oversee the review of receiving documentation (invoices, packing lists, bills of lading).
- Review and audit Material Receiving Reports (MRRs) and BPS data for accuracy.
- Generate documentation and prepare formal Unsatisfactory, Over, Short & Damaged (UOS&D) reports for discrepancies.
- Ensure proper storage of materials according to the project plan.
- Manage the disposal of surplus materials.
- Oversee the preparation of shipping documents for materials leaving temporary sites.
- Administer the on-site tool crib inventory and tool management system.
- Ensure physical inventories are conducted on a timely basis.
- Participate in the project's materials protection program and maintain custody of materials.
- Provide guidance and on-the-job training to other Inventory Specialists.
- Experience in construction material management.
- Proficiency in planning, personnel guidance, and procedures for shipping, receiving, storage, and issuing materials.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite and a material management system like BPS.
- Experience in controlling on-site Min-Max inventories, consignments, and service contractors.
- Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of relevant experience or
- 6-9 years of relevant work experience.
