A Commissioning Manager is needed for a leading global engineering, consulting and construction company in the Toledo, Ohio area. This role requires a candidate to manage all project testing and commissioning activities, leveraging skills in technical oversight, project management, and team leadership to coordinate with various stakeholders and ensure safe, high-quality execution.

responsibilities:
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
- Coordinate the turnover of projects from construction to commissioning and then to operations.
- Develop and review commissioning plans, checklists, and documentation.
- Track project progress and manage team member chargeability.
- Oversee technical tasks like SCADA checkout, EMS database updates, and protection scheme testing.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support, including troubleshooting and reviewing test results.
- Supervise and lead a team of commissioning engineers, technicians, and support staff.
- Conduct pre-job checklists, kickoff meetings, and post-job reviews.
- Reviews and approves testing documentation, daily reports, and schedules.
- Manages team performance and morale.
- Provides input on raises, promotions, and performance concerns.
- Previous commissioning management experience on transmission projects is preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of relay and apparatus testing procedures.
- Experience with High Voltage (HV)/Medium Voltage (MV) testing.
- Bachelor of Engineering degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience is required.
