Growing manufacturer in Liberal is seeking a Production and Inventory Scheduler to add to their team. The ideal candidate will have experience with capacity planning and inventory management in manufacturing. ERP/MRP system experience required. Must have a good understanding about how long it takes to produce the products from start to finish as well as supplier lead times for raw materials. This role is crucial for maximizing revenue and ensuring on-time delivery by creating an efficient production schedule and coordinating with all key departments. Will provide relocation for the right candidate.

responsibilities:
- Develop and Maintain Production Schedules: Create, maintain, and adjust daily and weekly production schedules to meet customer deadlines, achieve revenue goals, and optimize production resources.
- Prioritize and Execute Production: Ensure on-time shipment of customer orders by prioritizing high-value jobs and adjusting schedules in response to production delays, equipment downtime, or shifting customer requirements.
- Lead Cross-Functional Communication: Facilitate a weekly production review meeting with Sales, Purchasing, Engineering, and Transportation to share visibility on all orders, collect updates, and align on priorities.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain: Partner with Purchasing to confirm material and equipment availability and expedite parts to avoid delays.
- Optimize Production Flow: Identify and address bottlenecks, seeking opportunities to improve efficiency and output, such as grouping similar jobs.
- Manage Inventory Awareness: Maintain awareness of on-hand inventory and work-in-progress (WIP) to prevent material shortages from impacting the production schedule.
- Utilize ERP/MRP Systems: Generate work orders and other production paperwork using the NetSuite system.
- Drive Quality and Efficiency: Collaborate with Engineering and Quality Control to ensure special instructions, cut files, and inspection requirements are communicated and met.
- Proven experience in a production planning or scheduling role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- strong analytical skills with a deep understanding of production processes, capacity planning, and inventory management principles.
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems; NetSuite experience is a strong plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively solve problems and handle unexpected challenges, such as rush orders or material delays.
- Willingness to spend time on the production floor to understand job status.
