Transportation Cost Estimator located in Seattle, WA that is responsible to provide Estimating Services for a government ferry terminal. This role is responsible to lead and manage estimating functions for the Terminal Engineering program.
This is a contract assignment for 12 months with possible extension.

Required Qualifications:
- Four (4) or more years of experience with estimating techniques and procedures in construction projects
- Ability to read and interpret project plans and specifications
- Knowledge of applications such as MS Excel, MS Access, estimating tools, and drafting applications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related Engineering field

responsibilities:
- Lead and manage estimating functions for Terminal Engineering program.
- Estimate unit costs, bid-item costs, standard item costs, and other work-item costs
- Support project teams to develop/review project cost estimates at various stages of design and for various delivery methods
- Perform market analysis as needed and track tax rates to inform cost updates
- Identify projects for scoping to meet asset management needs and support biennial budget development.
- Perform scoping level quantity take-offs and cost estimates for projects
