A Testing and Quality Assurance Engineer is needed for an American defense, aviation, information technology, and biomedical research company in the Trinity, AL area. This role requires an experienced quality professional to independently conduct AS9100 quality surveillance and inspections at a subcontractor's facility for a composite aerospace program, leveraging deep technical knowledge and supplier management skills.

responsibilities:
- Provide AS9100 quality surveillance and inspections at a subcontractor's facility.
- Develop, implement, and maintain technical quality assurance and control systems.
- Define and specify standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating product quality.
- Work independently to achieve daily objectives with a significant impact on results.
- Develop technical solutions by collaborating with internal experts.
- Solve complex technical problems that are unclear and require deep technical knowledge.
- Influence team members on solution design and process approaches.
- Act as the lone quality representative at the subcontractor's facility.
- Provide quality oversight and manage the supplier relationship.
- Experience with AS9100 quality surveillance and inspections.
- Supplier Management experience.
- Experience with manufacturing composite structures.
- Experience with human space flight projects.
- Bachelor's degree and 4-8 years of relevant experience or
- Master's degree and 2-6 years of relevant experience.
