A Quality Auditor is needed for a multinational manufacturing company that produces and distributes trucks, buses and construction equipment, as well as marine and industrial drive systems in the Greensboro, NC area. You will be responsible for evaluating and coaching North American suppliers by conducting audits and using a risk management approach to identify and mitigate weaknesses, while also supporting and calibrating internal teams and informing key sourcing decisions.

responsibilities:
- Supplier Evaluation: Audit suppliers to evaluate their capability, performance, and potential using a risk management approach, particularly within North America.
- Auditing and Risk Identification: Use tools like the Supplier Evaluation Model (SEM) for Automotive purchasing to identify supplier weaknesses, gaps, and potential risks.
- Supplier Development: Coach suppliers, in collaboration with the SQE, on developing and executing risk mitigation plans.
- Internal Support: Calibrate and share best practices with lead auditors within the SQE organization to ensure robust and factual audit outputs that inform sourcing decisions.
- Reporting: Present and upload audit reports to the company system.
- Mentorship: As a senior position, provide extensive knowledge and support to develop both suppliers and the internal team.
- Attention to Detail & Big Picture Thinking: Ability to focus on details while maintaining a general understanding of the situation to make accurate risk assessments.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and the ability to work as a multicultural team player, both internally and with supplier management.
