A Quality Engineer is needed for a world leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, diesel and natural gas engines, industrial gas turbines and diesel-electric locomotives in the Mapleton, IL area. This Quality Engineer role focuses on internal auditing and quality management to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with quality standards within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

responsibilities:
- Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
- Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment and testing, measurement, and analytical equipment and facilities.
- May write training material and conduct training sessions on quality control activities.
- May specialize in areas of quality control engineering, such as design, incoming material, process control, product evaluation, product.
- The position performs internal auditing duties in support of the company Quality Management System and provides feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
- Plan, coordinate and conduct internal quality audits.
- Generate reports regarding the quality status of the CQMS, and any significant trends indicated by the data.
- Identify, analyze and resolve non-conformance.
Desired Skills:
- CQA certification.
- Lead auditor experience.
