An Engineering Technologist is needed for a world class utility company in the South Bend, IN area. This Engineering Technologist role requires a new graduate with an engineering technology degree to perform circuit analysis and customer impact studies while developing technical, planning, and communication skills under the guidance of experienced employees.

responsibilities:
- Use knowledge from an ABET-accredited engineering technology degree to perform technical functions, understand industry standards and regulations, and assist higher-level employees with routine problems.
- Follow company policies and procedures, perform assigned tasks with direction, and collaborate effectively with others.
- Maintain records, prepare reports, plan work, and assist with budget and capital forecasts. Participate in planning meetings and help prepare cost estimates.
- Solve problems of light complexity, actively seek new technical knowledge, and use initiative to improve job skills.
- Resolve conflicts, build consensus, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Be a team player.
- Understand the company's organizational structure, develop a basic understanding of utility accounting, and focus on customer satisfaction.
- Participate in professional organizations and develop decision-making skills with guidance.
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering technology in a program accredited by ABET.
- A degree in engineering technology is the preferred degree: however, engineering degrees will also be considered.
- ABET - Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering technology (non-ABET), plus a Professional Engineers (PE) license in any state of the U.S. or
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering technology (non-ABET) plus a Master's degree or PhD in engineering technology from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelor's program.
