A Electrical Technician is needed for a manufacturing company considered one of the world's leading innovators in materials science in the Wilmington, NC area. This role involves supporting the full lifecycle of electrical equipment acquisition for manufacturing projects, from initial specification and vendor selection to final installation and testing, while collaborating with multiple teams and managing project timelines.

responsibilities:
- Support equipment acquisition for manufacturing equipment upgrades and new installations.
- Establish equipment specifications and requirements.
- Provide technical support to Global Supply Management and vendors during the competitive bid and equipment build processes.
- Help generate timelines for equipment delivery and integrate them into project schedules.
- Participate in deployment team planning.
- Engage with other internal groups, including Capital Deployment Project Teams, Development, Technology Platforms, and Cable Technology.
- Coordinate factory acceptance testing (FAT).
- Proficiency in MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to navigate AutoCAD®, Vault, and Inventor.
- 1+ years of experience on capital projects.
- Ability to understand equipment specifications to find alternate sources.
- Basic knowledge of electrical tools for troubleshooting.
- Self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- strong organizational skills (focused, effective, and efficiency-driven).
- Proactive problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
- Customer service-oriented with good communication, motivation, and a positive attitude.
- AAS in electrical technology or BS in electrical engineering or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in a capital project environment.
