A Senior Quality Engineer is needed for a multinational manufacturing company that produces and distributes trucks, buses and construction equipment, as well as marine and industrial drive systems in the Greensboro, NC area. This job involves a Senior Product Quality Leader proactively identifying, investigating, and resolving product quality issues, while collaborating with various departments to achieve quality and customer satisfaction goals, using strong analytical and leadership skills.

responsibilities:
- You'll investigate and prioritize product quality issues from the market to ensure product performance within a determined scope.
- The role involves leading quality-related meetings and groups (e.g., Field Quality Meeting, Quality Action Group) and coordinating quality actions across various departments like Design Engineering, Purchasing, and Manufacturing.
- A key responsibility is to proactively search for and detect customer quality issues at an early stage using advanced analytics.
- You'll decide which issues require immediate investigation, recommend appropriate solutions, and clearly communicate quality status and customer satisfaction levels throughout the company.
- This role includes identifying potential safety issues and requesting external campaigns when necessary.
- You're responsible for achieving product quality goals and metrics related to fault frequency and warranty costs, and for checking the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
- The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, cross-functional team leadership or project management experience.
- The ability to prioritize issues, and a strong customer focus.
- Experience with predictive analytics and data mining is also important.
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a business-related field is required, with a Master's degree being preferred.
- A minimum of 5+ years of automotive industry experience is required, ideally in a service or maintenance role.
- Experience in dealership operations or direct dealer interface is a plus.
