Seeking a Cost Engineer for a high growth HVAC manufacturing client in the Syracuse, NY area.
The Cost Engineer would be responsible for developing and analyzing comprehensive cost models for products and components to create "Should Cost" estimates. Conducting teardowns of products and use 3D scanners, Autodesk Inventor, and Creo to create 3D models as needed.

responsibilities:
- Develop and analyze comprehensive cost models for products and components to create "Should Cost" estimates.
- Conduct teardowns of products and use 3D scanners, Autodesk Inventor, and Creo to create 3D models as needed.
- Provide recommendations to support benchmarking, supplier negotiations, and New Product Development across various departments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, procurement, and supply chain, to manage project costs and support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor and report on project budget performance and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Evaluate cost risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and deliver key internal and external presentations.
