A Quality Technician is needed for a manufacturing company considered one of the world's leading innovators in materials science in the Tewksbury, MA area. This role is responsible for acting as the first point of contact for quality and regulatory inquiries, providing support, triaging issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and support continuous improvement projects.

responsibilities:
- Perform first-level triage of customer complaints and emails.
- Sort incoming inquiries, identify duplicates, and assign them to the correct functions.
- Identify and escalate urgent quality and regulatory issues according to QRS guidelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams like Quality, Regulatory, Sales, and Customer Service to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Work with cross-functional teams on continuous improvement projects aimed at improving customer experience.
- Prioritize daily tasks and communicate professionally with both external customers and internal teams.
- Success is measured by meeting work targets, following QRS policies, and effectively interacting with customers and colleagues.
- You must be able to appropriately determine which issues require escalation.
- Experience handling time-sensitive customer requests and prioritizing tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Experience in a customer-facing, manufacturing, or quality/regulatory role, preferably in the medical device or clinical industries.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with designing reports and metrics.
- Knowledge of specific software like ETQ, SharePoint, Salesforce, and PeopleSoft.
- A passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Multilingual skills are a plus.
- A high school diploma or GED is required, with an Associate's degree preferred.
- At least 2-4 years of experience in a customer-facing role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality and regulatory practices is strongly encouraged.
