A Quality Auditor is needed for a leader in power and automation technologies in the Saint Louis, MO area. The Quality Auditor monitors and ensures product and material quality by performing inspections, using precision measuring equipment, conducting audits, and assisting with quality documentation and problem-solving.

responsibilities:
Quality Control & Auditing:
- Perform follow-up checks on quality problems and conduct random audits of parts and laminations.
- Obtain and evaluate samples of raw materials and outgoing products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Perform Epstein testing on raw material.
- Monitor and disposition non-conforming material using an Access database and rework it as necessary.
- Interpret and use various measuring devices, gauges, and micrometers.
- Learn to write and modify VMM/CMM programs for product analysis.
- Learn and execute laboratory procedures, including calibration and metallographic analysis.
- Assist in creating processes, control plans, and work instructions.
- Perform First Article Inspections.
- Assist supervisors and managers with quality issues.
- Participate in the Internal ISO Team Auditor program.
- Engage in continuous improvement activities.
- Obtain Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification provided by the company.
- Obtain CQI (Certified Quality Inspector) certification under ASQ guidelines within two years.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods (minimum of 8 hours/day, 5 days/week).
- Frequent gripping, pushing, pulling, and bending.
- Understand and follow all safety policies, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Operate and read precision measuring equipment.
- Possess the dexterity to use various hand and power tools and other equipment.
Technical:
- High-level math skills.
- Ability to interpret various measuring devices and read complicated drawings/blueprints.
- Basic computer knowledge, including using an Access database.
- Good communication and "people skills."
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Ability to read and write legibly.
- Ability to comprehend and follow both written and verbal instructions.
