job summary:
Large utility is looking for a Project Scheduler in Jackson, MI. This job is responsible for planning, scheduling, and tracking outages for fossil generation sites using Primavera (P6) software while collaborating with project teams and stakeholders.

responsibilities:

• Schedule Management: Develop, manage, and maintain outage schedules using Primavera (P6).
  
  
• Progress Tracking: Analyze schedule progress and forecast outage timelines to ensure they align with objectives.
  
  
• Collaboration: Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to provide and receive schedule information.
  
  
• Meeting Participation: Fully participate in all outage and department meetings and discussions.

Required Skills & Qualifications

P6 Proficiency (Mandatory): Must understand how to operate within a P6 environment, including layouts, activity codes, resources, grouping, and reporting.

Technical Skills:

• Microsoft Excel: Must be proficient.
  
  
• Power BI: Knowledge of creating and using new reports is beneficial.

Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Experience & Knowledge:

• Generation Plant Knowledge: Beneficial, but not required.
  
  
• Plant Outage Experience: A plus.
  
  
• Schedule Quality Practices: Knowledge of best practices for P6 schedules is beneficial.
  
  
• Certifications: PMP, PSP, CST, or other PMI/AACEI certifications are beneficial, but not required.

Education: A High School Education is required, but candidates with Associate's, Bachelor's, or Master's degrees will be considered during the selection process.
