A Buyer in the Raleigh, NC area is needed for a multinational power management company. This job involves sourcing and managing relationships with suppliers for a variety of goods and services, including electrical components, while also driving cost-reduction initiatives.

responsibilities:
- Source goods and services, including electrical components and fabricated products, to support CPDI operations.
- Manage supplier relationships, assess material demands, implement corporate goals, evaluate suppliers on pricing and scheduling, perform cost savings analysis, and develop new sources of supply.
- Work with Engineering for changes and new product releases and coordinate with other divisions to develop supply base capabilities.
- Proactively resolve Accounts Payable issues and work to improve supply chain resilience against component shortages.
- Provide forecasts and purchasing strategy to vendors to balance demand and risk.
Education and Experience:
- Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least three years of purchasing experience, along with working knowledge of digital technology, MRP/Material Planning Systems (SAP required), and general manufacturing and purchasing practices.
- Three years of purchasing experience.
