We are seeking a Metallurgist to join our team, responsible for the technical integrity of forged products. This role involves a mix of hands-on technical work and customer-facing support. You will be instrumental in translating customer specifications into internal production requirements, ensuring product quality through process development and testing, and conducting failure analysis to resolve both internal and external issues. responsibilities:
- Act as a metallurgical expert for sales, operations, and customers to ensure technical requirements
- Analyze customer requirements and create detailed material specifications and work instructions
- Perform failure analysis on components and production parts, and investigate customer claims
- Failure analysis on internal non-conformances to determine the root cause
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes, and oversee all mechanical and metallurgical testing
