We're hiring a Structural Engineer with a PE who is ready to mentor staff and provide critical support to our design teams. You'll put your deep knowledge of building codes and steel design to work, ensuring every project is a success from start to finish. responsibilities:
- Establish and adhere to project scopes and budgets.
- Effectively communicate project expectations and objectives with both internal staff and clients, utilizing both written and verbal channels.
- Conduct on-site inspections and prepare comprehensive structure condition reports.
- Interpret specifications and drawings, propose and document design modifications, and coordinate seamlessly with the design team.
- Conduct Quality Assurance/Quality Checks on all projects to uphold Chastain's commitment to delivering superior service to our clients.
- Provide oversight and mentorship to staff while also offering project support to other departments within Chastain.
- Manage client relationships and actively cultivate new business connections.
- Capability to engage in design work related to non-bridge projects is advantageous but not mandat
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering
- Professional Engineering registration
- 6 years of structural engineering experience with PEMB
- 2 years of engineering experience on complex multi-unit projects
- Solid knowledge of building codes and specifications
- Knowledgeable in steel design
- Experience with commercial steel building design
- Pre-engineered building (PEB) experience
- Medical - Begin first day of the following month the first full month worked
