responsibilities:
- Guide and mentor junior engineers and CAD designers on renewable and substation design projects, specifically focusing on general/physical layout and protection & control.
- Serve as the primary sealing engineer for the team's work, ensuring quality and compliance. You will also direct project design, including performing complex engineering calculations and using specialized design software.
- Act as the main point of contact for select clients, managing existing projects to ensure customer satisfaction and identifying future business opportunities.
- Oversee and direct the preparation of project documents, including specifications and bid documents. You will also be responsible for conducting and directing complex drawing reviews to ensure accuracy and clarity.
- Assist in training less-experienced Project Engineers and collaborate effectively with employees at all levels
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or Civil Engineering is required
- A minimum of four to nine years of relevant professional experience.
- Must be a licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
- Must be proficient in various areas of utility interconnection engineering, including physical layout, protection/control/SCADA design, relay settings programming, and field support.
- Software Proficiency Must be proficient with basic Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Proficient in AutoCAD and PLS-CADD
