Seeking a RF Hardware Engineer for a dynamic and high growth defense contractor in the Johnstown, PA, Largo, FL or Burnsville, MN areas.
The RF Engineer would be responsible for focusing on engineering for radars, missile fire control systems, communications, and other RF systems, subsystems, or components. Key activities include analyzing and modifying existing designs, leading new development of hardware components, and analyzing radar test data. They are also responsible for verification and validation planning. The ideal candidate must be able to complete technical projects independently, mentor and coach other engineers, and work cross-functionally to resolve technical issues. This is a contract to hire opportunity with a contract remote option. Relocation assistance is provided for candidates who are willing to relocate for a permanent opportunity.

responsibilities:
- Design & Development: Review, define, and manage specifications and requirements to develop designs. You will design, develop, analyze, document, and support the testing of products, systems, or subsystems. This includes executing integrated design for pulsed radar systems, covering RF hardware, mechanical design, and signal processing.
- Problem-Solving & Analysis: Drive technical problem resolution, complete tasks on time and within budget, and analyze designs to troubleshoot performance issues or identify new business opportunities.
- Project & Cost Management: Provide input on budget, cost, and schedule for design assignments. You will also own and manage the overall radar system's cost, performance, and schedule to meet customer needs.
- Supplier & Manufacturing Support: Specify and evaluate supplier components and services. You will also support program requirements for designing to cost and manufacturing.
- Prototyping & Risk Management: Develop prototypes to mitigate key development or production risks.
- Communication & Collaboration: Communicate clearly with manufacturing, supply chain, program management, and customers. You will also interact with other professionals and support personnel to coordinate technical activities.
