A Procurement NPI Specialist is needed for a technology company that designs and manufactures connectors and sensors for several industries, such as automotive, industrial equipment, data communication systems, and more. Remote work. This role is for a Procurement NPI (New Product Introduction) Specialist, a position focused on sourcing and supply chain management for new products.

responsibilities:
- Execute sourcing strategies for NPI projects, managing RFQs (Request for Quotation), and negotiating with suppliers to achieve the best cost and time to market.
- Recommend and select the best suppliers using a scorecard methodology, and establish agreements for dual sourcing and consignment inventory to create a resilient supply chain.
- Act as a central point for procurement within NPI projects, managing the process from initial award to completion, and supporting cross-functional teams.
- Conduct detailed cost analysis, including should cost, total cost of ownership, and make vs. buy decisions.
- Collaborate with other teams on value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE) initiatives to improve material productivity.
- Handle administrative duties such as creating info-records, sourcing lists, and managing purchase orders for tools and samples.
- strong negotiation skills, project management experience, a track record of driving supplier performance, and the ability to work in a global, self-directed environment with minimal supervision.
- Must be a motivated, aggressive problem solver who thinks outside the box and has a global perspective.
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or Finance. A Master's degree is a plus.
- At least 10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or operations.
