A Senior Civil Engineer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Ogden, UT area. This Civil Engineer role involves designing and developing civil engineering plans, drawings, and specifications for earthwork, roads, foundations, and underground utilities for the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program.

responsibilities:
- Prepare designs, drawings, calculations, and specifications for various civil engineering aspects of projects, including earthwork, grading, roads, and foundations.
- Produce design documents for government customers in accordance with Unified Facilities Criteria and the Whole Building Design Guide.
- Work closely with a team of other civil engineers and technical disciplines to execute projects.
- Assist with overseeing boring, conducting site inspections, and reviewing existing facilities.
- Review vendor information from subcontractors and incorporate it into the design.
- Ensure a high degree of quality in all work and adhere to project schedule requirements.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry and regulatory codes, standards, and contract requirements.
- Experience with Microsoft office programs, VISIO, and other common computer programs.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability to utilize office automation tools effectively.
- Knowledge of industry and regulatory guides, codes, and standards, as well as company Corporate guides and standards.
- Relevant experience includes related specifications.
- Broad knowledge of the application of Civil engineering design principles.
- Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and
- 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
- MS degree in Civil or related Engineering, from an accredited university.
- Registered Professional Engineer in USA (Civil Engineering).
- Experience working with procedures meeting quality assurance programs such as ISO-9000.
- Prior experience working with government agencies, preferably the Department of Defense.
- Experience with use or knowledge of Revit and/or InRoads.
- Intermediate knowledge of developing CSI Masterformat specifications, or SpecsIntact.
- Design experience with Unified Facilities Criteria and the Whole Building Design Guide.
- Experience in complex excavation approaches and construction execution, field experience is preferred.
