An Electrical Engineer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Ogden, UT area. This Electrical Engineer position involves designing and developing electrical systems for the DOD Sentinel project, including preparing technical drawings, calculations, and specifications, while ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards.

responsibilities:
- Work under the direction of senior engineers/designers to develop design products.
- Reviews client requirements and incorporates them into a design product
- Coordinates the reviews of deliverables between the client as well as other .engineering disciplines/functions. Reviews and resolves comments/feedback on the deliverables.
- Ensures electrical systems designs comply with all applicable installation codes, regulations, and standards such as the National Electrical Code (NFPA 70).
- Reviews and checks design deliverables for quality, accuracy, neatness, functionality and satisfactory completion.
- Assists in the development of electrical design deliverables such as but not limited to: Single line drawings, Panel schedule drawings, Schematics, Cable block diagrams, Electrical system calculations, Lightning protection design.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability to utilize office automation tools effectively.
- Knowledge of industry and regulatory guides, codes, and standards
- Knowledge of electrical systems, schematics and layouts.
- Ability to execute work independently.
- Possess active security clearance
- Prior experience working with government agencies, preferably the Department of Defense.
- Understanding of engineering drawings, systems calculations, equipment sizing and cable sizing.
Level I:
- Requires a University Hire with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering with
- Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Requires a University Hire with a BS degree in Electrical Engineering with
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
