We are looking for a highly skilled Die Set Up Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating multi-die progressive headers, ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of parts. You will play a key part in troubleshooting production issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to new product development.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain multi-die progressive headers (up to 6 stations), including Sacma, Carlo Salvi, and Formax equipment.
- Perform troubleshooting and make precise adjustments to maintain quality and production efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineers and tool room technicians on the development of new parts.
- Conduct thorough quality checks using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and comparators, and accurately document all results.
- Execute daily preventive maintenance to ensure the long-term performance and reliability of all machinery.
- 5 years of professional experience setting up and operating progressive multi-die headers.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring equipment.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
- Ability to lift and move materials as required.
- Experience in a tool and die or machinist role.
- Experience with new part development.
