A Senior Mechanical Engineer is needed in the Rochester, NY area for an American corporation that supplies equipment, services and software for the manufacture of semiconductor chips for electronics, flat panel displays for computers, smartphones, televisions, and solar products. This role requires an experienced professional with a background in mechanical design and electronics packaging to lead projects, troubleshoot complex engineering problems, and develop innovative solutions while collaborating with stakeholders.

responsibilities:
- Develop and implement concepts for complex product issues and engineering solutions.
- Lead and/or execute engineering projects and spearhead R&D for new technologies.
- Identify and troubleshoot a wide range of complex engineering problems.
- Perform complex engineering analysis.
- Interface with internal and external customers to address high-value problems.
- Generate product specifications.
- Define, coordinate, and document engineering tests.
- Specify and review engineering documentation and processes.
Education: A Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Experience:
- A minimum of 10 years of overall engineering experience.
- At least 7 years of specific experience in mechanical engineering and design.
- Hands-on experience in the mechanical development and design of high-voltage products.
- Experience in analysis, testing, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and root-causing electro-mechanical systems.
- Experience with 3D CAD systems (specifically NX) and Teamcenter is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
