responsibilities:
- Provide executive leadership for the refrigeration construction division, overseeing projects from initiation to closeout. You will ensure all projects meet financial targets, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Coach and develop project managers, supervisors, and field technicians. Your role is to drive operational efficiency and accountability while fostering a culture of excellence.
- Take full responsibility for reviewing project plans, preparing accurate bids, and submitting proposals. You will analyze costs, labor, and materials to ensure profitability.
- Initially, you will be hands-on with all estimating responsibilities. Once an estimator is hired, you will transition into a mentorship role, providing oversight and ensuring a high standard of accuracy.
- Oversee project execution to ensure schedules, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met. This includes managing daily operations, conducting readiness evaluations, and upholding company safety protocols.
- Champion customer service excellence by maintaining communication with clients and general contractors, quickly resolving challenges, and ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
- Prepare and review financial reports to monitor project profitability. You will also participate in the ERP transition to ensure a seamless adoption of the new system for project reporting and scheduling.
- A minimum of five years of construction leadership experience, with at least three years specifically in refrigeration construction. Must have a proven track record in project estimating and managing full-cycle bidding responsibilities.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Financial and business acumen with a proven history of success in cost control, profitability management, and resource allocation. Must have excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- A collaborative leader with demonstrated experience in building client relationships and managing a team to high standards of performance and accountability.
- Willingness to travel lightly within Florida and occasionally to Georgia to support field teams and clients.
- A valid driver's license with a clean record, consent to a background check and drug screening, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Fluent in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
