A Senior Engineer for a medical devices and equipment manufacturing company is needed in the Cary, IL area. This role is responsible for the entire life cycle of a product, from conception and design to validation and market launch, while ensuring it meets all functional, cost, and safety requirements.

responsibilities:
- Designs, validates, and launches new products by defining functional requirements and testing final designs.
- Integrates components to create the final product, while evaluating its effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety.
- Develops and executes testing plans to ensure the product meets specifications and is fit for use.
- Creates and reviews technical documents such as material part specifications and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Collaborates with various teams (manufacturing, design, product specialists) to optimize designs for efficient production.
- Utilizes CAD/CAE software to create models and detailed engineering drawings.
- Operates independently as an individual contributor, applying professional judgement with minimal supervision.
- Requires a university degree or extensive experience.
- With a minimum of two years of professional experience.
