responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of a production or operations team, including bargaining unit employees and contractors.
- Provide active coaching and development.
- Ensure the safe and reliable operation of the generation facility by adhering to safety culture, policies, and procedures.
- Set priorities for the team, coordinate work with other supervisors, troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, and lead/participate in problem-solving events and operating reviews.
- Understand company metrics and goals, apply lean methods to identify and eliminate waste, and contribute to cost savings and automation.
- Complete administrative tasks such as time sheet approval, maintain reports on job progress, and administer the Union Contract and company policies.
- Serve as a liaison with support groups to manage work priorities and address equipment deficiencies.
- Respond to employee concerns, provide guidance on complex or hazardous work, and collaborate with employees and support groups.
- Lead or participate in special projects and serve as an on-call resource in rotation.
