A Maintenance Engineer is needed for a manufacturing company considered one of the world's leading innovators in materials science in the Corning, NY area. A Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of manufacturing assets by performing maintenance, managing projects, developing corporate standards, and implementing Condition-based Maintenance (CbM) programs.

responsibilities:
- Ensures manufacturing and facility assets operate efficiently.
- Performs installations, scheduled maintenance, and emergency repairs.
- Manages projects, inspects systems, and troubleshoots complex problems using diagnostic tools.
- Develops and maintains corporate maintenance standards.
- Audits existing manufacturing plants to evaluate and implement corporate standards.
- Works with new plants to build maintenance organizations from the ground up.
- Possesses a strong working knowledge of Maximo (CMMS) to support administrators.
- Sets up Condition-based Maintenance (CbM) programs.
- Guides customers to define business requirements and then scopes, budgets, schedules, and delivers corporate standards.
- Requires experience in a Maintenance/Facilities department within a manufacturing plant.
- Must be proficient in operating Maximo and experienced with smart sensors.
- Possesses a desire for awareness of industrial automation systems like PLC, OPC, SCADA, and Historian.
- Needs a strong understanding of maintenance measures and metrics.
- Must be able to maintain preventative maintenance schedules, plan work, supervise trades, and run installation projects.
- Requires strong leadership and team skills.
