A Capital Project Engineering Manager is needed for the world's largest food and beverage company in the Anderson, IN area. This senior leadership role is responsible for providing technical guidance and managing all aspects of capital engineering projects from conception to completion, while also coaching project teams, ensuring safety and compliance, and driving continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.

responsibilities:
- Leads and manages capital projects from development through execution, including construction and commissioning.
- Provides technical leadership and coaching to project managers and junior engineers.
- Monitors project progress and ensures adherence to all established key components and deliverables.
- Manages project finances, including budgeting, cost forecasting, and cash flow projections.
- Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and other groups.
- Manages the bidding and selection process for contractors and contracting methods.
- Ensures compliance with quality, GMP, FDA, and OSHA regulations.
- Provides construction management and plant startup assistance.
- Acts as a subject matter expert and provides technical support to factory operations.
- Champions a culture of safety with a zero-tolerance policy for unsafe situations.
- Participates in continuous improvement initiatives like Continuous Excellence and Total Performance Management (TPM).

- Additional consideration for those that are considered subject matter experts in a particular field of engineering (process, packaging, refrigeration, etc.).
- Bachelor Degree in engineering or construction management and minimum 15 years of related work experience.
- 15 + years experience managing capital projects with increasing responsibility and complexity in a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment.
- Engineering project management experience required, with 7+ years experience preferred.
