A CAD Drafter is needed for an American defense, aviation, information technology, and biomedical research company in the Long Beach, MS area. This role uses CAD software to create and revise engineering drawings, prepare specifications, and contribute to design modifications under close supervision.

responsibilities:
- Creates and revises detailed engineering drawings for parts, assemblies, and installations.
- Uses 3D CAD software (preferably SolidWorks) and AutoCAD to complete layouts and drawings.
- Prepares specifications for parts, assemblies, and installations.
- Determines scaling, inserts reference planes, and adds dimension lines to drawings.
- Contributes to design modifications to enhance product quality and manufacturing.
- Resolves routine and well-defined problems with clear solutions.
- Works under close supervision and follows specific instructions to complete daily tasks.
- Communicates with peers to exchange information.
- Experience and proficiency using 3D CAD software required.
- SolidWorks preferred.
- Experience and proficiency using AutoCAD required.
- Experience using Windchill PLM preferred.
- Typically requires a High school diploma or equivalent and
- Less than 1 year of prior relevant experience.
