A Manufacturing Engineer is needed for a major U.S. defense contractor and industrial corporation with core manufacturing concentrations in weapons and military and commercial electronics in the Miramar, FL area. A manufacturing engineer in this role will design, develop, and troubleshoot manufacturing and repair processes to optimize product reliability and cost-effectiveness, working closely with various teams and departments.

responsibilities:
- Design and develop manufacturing processes for existing and revised products, considering aftermarket production problems.
- Create procedures for economical production, repair, and overhaul in collaboration with MRO and production departments.
- Conduct tests and measurements during production to maintain control over variables.
- Service, troubleshoot, and solve production process and equipment problems.
- Maintain and troubleshoot testing equipment, including electrical, hydraulic, electronic controls, and software.
- Define optimal LRU (Line Replaceable Unit) configuration and work scope.
- Review failure data, cost, and parts usage to make recommendations and decisions.
- Act as an in-house advocate for new parts repairs and processes.
- Analyze removal causes and develop corrective actions.
- Optimize LRU on-wing life and shop visit rates.
- Maintain proficiency in SAP products.
- Develop and maintains proficiency in the computer software required to perform the job functions.
- Provide technical support to the Quality department and to the Quality Manager, regarding compliance issues.
- Provide technical support to the EH&S department regarding issues related to the environment, health, and safety.
- CAD modelling experience is preferred.
