An O&M Superintendent is needed for a leading Water and Wastewater Utility will join our management team to lead the operations and maintenance of our water supply and distribution systems as well as our wastewater collection and treatment equipment. This role involves supervising personnel and ensuring all systems comply with federal, state, and local regulations. The Superintendent is also responsible for administrative and technical tasks, including developing work plans, managing costs, and ensuring safety practices.
This role requires extensive experience in managing water and wastewater systems, with at least seven years of progressive experience in the water industry. You should have a minimum of four years of advanced experience in water supply, distribution, and wastewater activities. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a bachelor's degree being highly desirable. You must possess or be able to obtain the necessary Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection Licenses within 24 months. Relocation is available for qualified candidates.

- Supervise all daily operations and personnel for the water and wastewater systems
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of all water distribution, wastewater collection, and treatment facilities, including pumps, valves, and control systems
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local ordinances and regulations
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs using CMMS software to improve efficiency and longevity of equipment
- Manage and track operational budgets and costs, ensuring fiscal responsibility and efficiency
- Maintain and update system maps, databases, and prepare required compliance reports for the Utility Manager
