An E&C Engineer is needed for a utility holding company in the Earth, TX area. This job is for a highly experienced and self-directed civil engineer who acts as a technical expert and project leader, responsible for complex design projects from conception through completion, while also developing new technical standards and providing guidance to other team members.

responsibilities:
- Designs, models, develops, and tests machines, structures, or systems.
- Creates functional requirements, simulations, and prototypes.
- Designs, tests, and integrates components.
- Monitors quality and efficiency of products and processes.
- Evaluates effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety of designs.
- Investigates root causes of failures and recommends improvements.
- Serves as a technical project engineer or subject matter expert (SME).
- Manages major or complex projects of moderate to large scope.
- Self-initiates and determines courses of action.
- Provides work direction or leadership to other professionals, including engineers and technicians.
- Applies extensive technical expertise and advanced engineering principles.
- Develops new principles, concepts, and technical standards.
- Creates plans for procedures, codes, and standards.
Education and Experience:
- Required Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from ABET accredited curriculum (or recognized equivalency).
- 7+ years relevant engineering experience with PE (Professional Engineer) registration preferred.
