A Senior Logistics Coordinator is needed for the world's largest food and beverage company in the Dekalb, IL area. This job is for a Senior Logistics Coordinator who is responsible for the end-to-end process of transportation and delivery, requiring strong independent decision-making, analytical, and communication skills to collaborate with various teams, manage carriers, and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment.

responsibilities:
- Manages transportation load planning and order management.
- Executes product transportation efficiently and effectively.
- Manages specialized recovery and on-time delivery.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams including customer service, carriers, and facilities.
- Demonstrates initiative and makes independent decisions based on customer needs and carrier capacity.
- Escalates issues when necessary.
- Supports company initiatives for operational improvement.
- Resolves conflicts and discrepancies professionally and in a timely manner.
- Manages planning anomalies and analyzes non-routine problems.
- Conducts final validation of plans and maintains accurate data.
- Creates optimized freight orders and performs initial carrier selection.
- Requires a professional approach, strong customer service skills, and experience in a fast-paced office environment, with transportation/logistics experience preferred.
- Requires strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Requires analytical, decision-making, and good judgment skills.
- Requires strong interpersonal skills.
- Requires adaptability to shifting priorities and change.
- Requires the ability to thrive in a team environment.
- Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office.
