An Electrical Engineer is needed for an engineering consulting company in the Boise, ID area. This role is for an experienced Electrical Engineer who will oversee and lead the design, quality control, and on-site construction support for complex electrical systems in manufacturing and cleanroom facilities.

responsibilities:
- Designs electrical systems for semiconductor cleanrooms, laboratories, and other manufacturing facilities.
- Oversees designer work and provides technical leadership for the team.
- Performs quality reviews of design packages and handles complex design tasks.
- Interacts directly with clients, owners, and contractors on-site to assist with construction.
- Works with clients to establish design requirements and produce construction documents.
- Responsible for the engineering and design oversight of power distribution, grounding, lighting, and low-voltage communications systems.
- Prepares technical specifications and documents for bidding and construction.
- Acts as the electrical discipline lead or quality control reviewer in project meetings.
- Participates in project proposals and provides innovative solutions to clients.
- Requires a solid working knowledge of NFPA 70 (NEC) and methods for electrical calculations using software like SKM PTW or EasyPower.
- Must be proficient in engineering practices for selecting electrical equipment.
- Experience with reviewing vendor submittals and interacting with construction personnel is needed.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM software is preferred.
- Requires strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Must be a collaborative, forward-thinking individual with a passion for construction.
- Requires a Bachelor's or higher degree in Electrical or Renewable Energy Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Needs at least 10 years of experience in electrical design for buildings.
- Must have a current Professional Engineer (PE) license with the ability to obtain one in Idaho.
