Seeking a PCBA Manufacturing Engineer for a high growth defense contractor and manufacturer in the Norwood, MA area.
The PCBA Manufacturing Engineer would be responsible for leading the execution of new product introductions (NPI) and provides continued support for legacy programs. The focus is on the introduction and improvement of manufacturing processes for hardware, electronic PCBs, and electronic components.

responsibilities:
- Process Development & Documentation: Develop and maintain robust process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Data-Driven Improvement: Leverage manufacturing data to proactively identify and address issues, driving systemic root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Performance Tracking: Track and report on manufacturing engineering metrics, ensuring we meet team KPIs and individual goals.
- DFM & Lean Methodologies: Participate in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews and implement lean manufacturing principles to boost efficiency and reduce waste.
- Risk & Readiness Management: Conduct Manufacturing Readiness Reviews (MRR) and use Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRLs) to assess and communicate process maturity, leading and participating in process FMEA development and risk mitigation efforts.
- Production Support & Training: Train and support production staff on new processes and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
