An Engineer is needed for a world class utility company in the Benton Harbor, MI area. The role involves performing engineering studies and project scoping, assisting senior engineers with technical analysis, and gaining experience with industry standards and practices.

responsibilities:
- Perform engineering studies and scoping for projects related to electrical distribution systems.
- Apply engineering knowledge to complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently.
- Assist higher-level engineers with problem-solving and analysis.
- Gain familiarity with relevant standards, codes, regulations, and business processes.
- Coordinate the work of others on routine engineering tasks.
- Contribute to project planning and scheduling documents.
- Prepare cost estimates and monitor project status.
- Actively seek information and solutions for technical problems.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Collaborate with peers and demonstrate teamwork.
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering in a program accredited by ABET.
- Passing the Fundamentals of Engineering examination in preparation for future licensing as a Professional Engineer (PE) is encouraged and preferred.
- ABET: Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology.
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET), plus a Professional Engineers (PE) license in any state of the U.S. or
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering (non-ABET) plus a Master's degree or PhD in engineering from a university with an ABET accredited Bachelor's program.
