A Material Coordinator is needed for a world class utility company in the Heath, OH area. The role involves reviewing material requests, working with supply chain teams, and building relationships with procurement and expediting groups to ensure timely delivery of materials for construction and maintenance projects.

responsibilities:
- Coordinates the shipment of major equipment to service centers across multiple operating companies.
- Works with various districts and a specific vendor to manage equipment delivery.
- Requires strong communication and organizational skills.
- Must be able to learn and navigate Maximo and Excel on a daily basis.
- Reviews and assists in reviewing material requests for cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinates with Supply Chain Operations to stay informed about upcoming complex projects.
- Maintains relationships with Expediting and Procurement to ensure material availability.
- Monitors open material requests and purchase orders to proactively identify items needing expediting.
- Monitors daily inventory reports for exceptions.
- Must have good oral and written communication skills.
- Must be available 24/7 for emergency material requirements.
- Requires a Bachelor's degree, or
- Associate's degree with two years of experience, or
- A High School Diploma/GED with four years of experience.
- Minimum of two years of experience in Supply Chain or a similar business role.
