A Senior Structural Engineer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Ogden, UT area. This role requires advanced knowledge of structural analysis, an ability to independently execute detailed designs, and strong communication skills to coordinate with various teams, clients, and vendors.

responsibilities:
- Lead the structural design for projects, including originating and checking complex calculations, specifications, and reports.
- Lead technical discussions and constructability reviews.
- Design structures using advanced knowledge of statics, dynamics, and materials.
- Select appropriate structural materials such as steel, wood, masonry, and concrete based on load requirements.
- Prepare cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and change orders for proposals.
- Plan and prepare equipment, work, and material specifications, and perform bid evaluations.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, clients, vendors, and construction teams.
- Provide technical assistance and mentorship to more junior structural personnel.
- Resolve complex design issues with suppliers, other disciplines, and clients.
- Must have prior engineering team leadership experience.
- Must be able to independently execute detailed designs for complex steel and/or concrete structures.
- Requires thorough knowledge of relevant engineering codes (AISC, ACI, IBC, ASCE) and structural analysis software.
- Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to resolve complex issues.
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and
- 5-8 years of experience.
