Very reputable and growing logistics organization located in the Roswell, GA area is looking for a Director of Fleet Operations.
The ideal candidate will possess experience managing a very large fleet and assets along with CAPEX, procurement, maintenance programs, asset reliability, fleet management systems including experience presenting to C suite and board of directors. Experience with autonomous vehicles is a plus.
This role comes with a very lucrative base salary ranging from $240k to $260k (commensurate with experience) plus an annual 40% target bonus. Relocation assistance is also available.

responsibilities:
Responsible for providing strong and effective leadership, strategic direction and development of the Fleet organization. Create, develop, implement and maintain a short and long term strategy, vehicle specifications and standardization processes and procedures for the 10,000+ fleet assets. This includes collaborating with management of all cross functional groups to leading or assist in the development of people capabilities, career opportunities, employee performance, discipline and execution of corporate objectives.
-Solid background in CAPEX and procurement at a high volume with over 10,000 assets
-Design, implement and manage policies, procedures and reporting structures and tools to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations concerning transportation, safety and environmental regulations related to fleet.
-Focus on demand driven modeling to achieve a balance between an efficient and effective utilization of fleet assets. Manages and develops innovation and technology to drive down operational costs, outsourced repair programs and providers, supplier management related to fleet equipment, maintenance.
-Develops, instructs and manages best in class policies, processes and reporting for vehicle planned maintenance program to ensure the fleet readiness, optimizes M&R expense and extends the serviceable life of the fleet assets.
-Oversight of all centralized and decentralized strategic fleet assest management, including business plan development and execution, supplier relationship management, and life cycle vechicle management.
-Partner with the procurement team to address all rolling stock capital expenditure requirements and disposals.
-Conduct Total Cost of Ownership analysis and support leadership in developing strategies to meet hold period targets for each asset
Qualifications & Experience:
-Bachelor's degree in Management
-15+ years of relevant experience with consistent increasing roles and responsibilities within the fleet management and/or fleet development roles in the U.S. and Canada.
-Has been in middle/upper level management capacity with large fleet management companies, large fleet operators, OEM (fleet sales and services).
-Experience with digital & data enabled fleet management solutions.
-Solid network across large national fleet supplier base, ability to tap into existing relationships
-Commercial equipment negotiation experience in complex and long-term deal structures
-Experience building, managing and leading high-performing teams
-Experience presenting to C Suite and Board of Director meetings
