Full time-Direct hire, 3rd Shift Production Supervisor needed near Salem, OH for a local client. Position requires current or recent Production Supervision experience from a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. Prefer Machining or Fabricaiton work environment. Client is offering a base salary of $65,000- $82,500 + 10% bonus,benefits, 401 K, stocks options, etc

responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading, coaching and evaluating a designated shift
- Responsible for driving and achieving throughput goals
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include: interviewing, hiring, and training employees.
- Planning, assigning, and directing work.
- Directly supervising employees in the Fabrication Department
- Analyzes work orders to determine information such as material to be used, type of operations, and sequence of operations required
- Oversees saw operations, machining cells, and other value-added processes in relation to operational effectiveness and continuous improvement
- Must be familiar with 6S projects and utilization of other Lean Manufacturing principlesAssist in the investigation of customer complaints and quality non conformances in the processUtilizes effective problem-solving techniques to eliminate problems
- Adheres to standard work practices and coaches team to meet production schedulesUse of production schedules to evaluate worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
- Verify performance throughout shift relative to expected rate.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Works with outside processors to manage the production and quality of those processors to meet the customer demands and requirements
