An Engineering Technologist is needed for a world class utility company in the South Bend, IN area. This role requires a Bachelor's degree and involves performing engineering circuit and customer impact studies, with occasional required travel to the field for equipment verification, while applying technical knowledge and supporting higher-level engineers in planning and problem-solving.

Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Possess technical to entry-level knowledge from an ABET-accredited engineering technology program.
- Perform special technical functions in the assigned area with proper guidance.
- Gain familiarity with relevant standards, codes, regulations, equipment, materials, systems, and business processes.
- Assist higher-level employees in handling well-defined portions of routine problems.
- Follow all company policies, standards, rules, and external regulations.
- Perform ongoing activities and assigned work in accordance with established procedures, receiving direction and coaching from higher-level employees.
- Demonstrate the ability to work with others, supplying information and seeking assistance as needed.
- Maintain required records to support assignments and prepare special reports (e.g., for tests, equipment performance, projects).
- Plan work in line with company standard planning practices and prioritize routine work to meet demands.
- Assist in providing input for the annual budget, capital forecasts, five-year plan, and improvement requisitions.
- Participate in planning meetings covering scheduling, operations, and equipment maintenance.
- Assist in the preparation of basic cost estimates.
- Seek opportunities to solve problems of light complexity.
- Actively seek out information to increase technical knowledge in the area of responsibility.
- Apply technical knowledge to resolve basic problems encountered in assigned work.
- Demonstrate the ability to resolve conflict and build consensus.
- Communicate and present ideas clearly (both verbally and in writing).
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports and papers.

- A Bachelor's degree in engineering technology from an ABET-accredited program is preferred.
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering will also be considered.
- Acceptable Alternatives: A non-ABET Bachelor's in engineering technology plus either a Professional Engineer (PE) license OR a Master's/PhD in engineering technology from a university with an ABET-accredited Bachelor's program.
