A Process Engineer is needed for a medical technology company focused on the repair, regeneration and replacement of soft and hard tissue in the Memphis, TN area. The Process Engineer develops, improves, and supports manufacturing processes for advanced products, focusing on process efficiency, cost reduction, equipment validation (IQ, OQ, PQ), data analysis, and documentation, under the guidance of a senior engineer or manager.

responsibilities:
- Develops and implements manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
- Collaborates with Production, Tool Design, Tool & Die, and Maintenance on methods, tooling, and equipment.
- Establishes routings and determines manufacturing costs for new products.
- Supports troubleshooting and root cause analysis of process issues.
- Partners with Quality Control on inspection methods, gauges, and critical features.
- Conducts and documents equipment validation (IQ, OQ, PQ, re-validation).
- Monitors and follows up on initial production runs until processes stabilize.
- Collects and analyzes process data for performance monitoring and improvement recommendations.
- Evaluates machinery, tooling, and process technologies; recommends upgrades or replacement.
- Leads or supports cost reduction projects through innovative methods.
- Assists or leads lean processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepares and maintains process documentation (work instructions, routings, validation protocols/reports, SOPs).
- Requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data interpretation ability.
- Requires effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Requires ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Preferred qualifications include internship/industry experience, Lean/Six Sigma training, and familiarity with CAD tools, data analysis software, and validation methods.
