A Supply Management Planner is needed for an American corporation that manufactures agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, diesel engines, drivetrains (axles, transmissions, gearboxes) used in heavy equipment, and lawn care equipment in the Dubuque, IA area. The Supply Management Planner manages the daily performance and relationship of assigned suppliers to ensure continuous improvement in quality and delivery, executes low-complexity supply chain planning, manages factory inventory, analyzes performance data and market information, and contributes to cost and process improvements.

responsibilities:
- Performs the duties of a Supply Management Planner.
- Manages the day-to-day performance and relationship for a group of suppliers across several assigned commodities.
- Supports factory operations.
- Works with the Supply Base to drive continuous improvement in quality and delivery.
- Executes planning activities in a low complexity supply chain within a defined framework/system.
- Maintains daily contact with business-critical suppliers.
- Responds to complex incidents with suppliers or supplies/services.
- Analyzes performance and provides feedback on key supplier management indicators.
- Collects and collates information on key cost drivers, market dynamics, and alternative suppliers.
- Provides market information to senior colleagues for decision-making.
- Contributes to reviewing existing operations and generating ideas for continuous improvements.
- Gathers and reports on existing contract performance for input into new contract negotiations/renegotiations.
- Experience with SAP and Excel,
- Ability to communicate well via email and phone with different job functions,
- Detail oriented,
- Ability to multitask,
- Experience with materials planning or buying.
- Post-Secondary Non-Tertiary Education.
- Basic experience of simple office/operational systems (4-6 months) and Very limited (0-3 months).
