We're seeking a Mechanical Designer to join our client, a global leader in the green energy sector. This is an employee-owned company in the Somerville, NJ area where your contributions will make a real difference.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of hands-on design and drafting experience in structural steel, vessels, ducting, and piping within the power, heavy industrial, or petrochemical industries. Technical Skills: AutoCAD and 3D software (Tekla, Microstation, etc.), Familiar with welding related to structural steel and pressure vessels, Industry codes and standards such as OSHA, AISC, and ASME.
Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in CAD and Drafting

responsibilities:
You'll be a crucial part of the engineering team, responsible for designing, drafting, and maintaining technical drawings for large power plant equipment. Your work will directly support projects that are shaping the future of green energy.
- Design and create detailed 2D and 3D engineering drawings for structural steel, pressure vessels, ducting, and piping.
- Analyze data and specifications from project managers to ensure final designs meet client requirements and industry standards.
- Prepare bills of material and make drawing modifications based on internal and client feedback.
