A Senior Logistics Coordinator is needed for the world's largest food and beverage company in the Dekalb, IL area. This Senior Logistics Coordinator role focuses on transportation planning and execution, including load optimization, carrier management, on-time delivery, and managing shipment exceptions.

responsibilities:
- Responsible for transportation load planning and order management prior to shipment.
- Manages specialized recovery and ensures on-time delivery.
- Executes product transportation efficiently using tools and processes to surpass service expectations.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams (customer service, carriers, facilities, deployment) professionally.
- Demonstrates initiative and makes independent, informed decisions, escalating issues when necessary.
- Supports the company's Operational Master Plan and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Addresses and resolves conflicts/discrepancies in a positive, professional, and timely manner.
- Manages planning anomalies and analyzes non-routine problems for underlying issues.
- Performs final validation of plans and maintains accurate data.
- Establishes connections between appointments and transit times.
- Creates fully optimized freight orders.
- strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Analytical, decision-making, and good judgment are required.
- strong interpersonal skills are a must.
- Must be able to handle shifting priority requirements.
- Must be resilient to and embrace change.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook Programs.
- High School Diploma required.
- College education preferred.
- Transportation and/or logistics experience preferred.
- Experience in a tactical and fast-paced office environment required.
