Growing company in The Woodlands, TX is seeking a Drafting Manager to add to its team. The ideal candidate will have a degree in CAD drafting and math, and will possess 3D paramentric CAD software experience. At least 3-5 years of experience with Solidworks required, as well as prevoius supervisory experience. Familiarity with product design in manufacturing required; tank or tank adjacent experience preferred. Excellent benefits and target bonus of 10%!

responsibilities:
- Responsible for converting existing production drawings to SolidWorks and creating new drawings
- Manage up to 6 drafting employees and interns
- Use SolidWorks CAD equipment and software to develop designs
- Make final sketch of proposed drawing, checking dimension of parts, materials, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project.
- Sketch rough layout of machine and computes angles, weights, surface areas, dimensions
- Utilize knowledge of machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
- Occasionally travel to plant locations, about 15%
- At least 3-5 years of experience with Solidworks
- Degree in computer aided drafting or similar highly preferred
- Must have prior experience with 3D parametric CAD software
- Experience drafting tanks or similar components for manufacturing
- Must possess strong math and analytical skills
- Previous management, supervisory or team lead experience
- Solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology
